Beauty Bloggers - More thoughts
I enjoy reading beauty and make up blogs. Another pastime is watching make up artists and cosmetic and beauty product reviews on You Tube. After a long day at work I find it relaxng, a no brainer and sometimes so relaxing I fall asleep.
Alot of the product reviews are produced by young girls. These young ladies take themselves very seriously and are very passionate about their hobby. Unfortunately like all things in life sometimes there is a catch.
Cosmetic and beauty companies have latched onto the fact that some of these young girls are being read and watch by thousands of other young girls. Therefore in the time honoured fashion, like where a relationship between a beauty company and a magazine has been developed. These companies send them free products to review.
Unlike magazines, these young reviewers do not always give favourable reviews. Which some companies have taken an exception to. The word exploitation comes to mind, when I read and hear about this situation.
In a subtle way, pressure is being brought to bear on these young reviewers to provide good reviews for products because they are sent to them for free.
Reviews of these products are normally favourable. You are not provided with the fact that a company has given them for free to the reviewer.
In conclusion, these young cosmetic and beauty reviewers have to realise that they are being exploited by the beauty industry. By accepting free products they are expected to do favourable reviews. My advice is, think hard about this. Ask your parents or some one older that you trust for advice. Do not accept these free products unless you are prepared to be compromised. As the old adage advises, "You don't get something for nothing."

First Blog
Interesting discussion between beauty and make up bloggers about a company which make Self Tanning products. The company in question is called Sunlove. It appears that some of the bloggers have been insulted by this firm on Twitter.
The question seems to be. "If you are offered free products to review. what kind of review does the blogger publish, favourable or unfavourable?
It appears that bloggers that have been publishing less than favourable reviews for this product have been subjected to rude and insulting emails and Tweets from this company.
Having read some of these Tweets, I have to agree that they are rude and insulting. Some of these Tweets cannot be taken seriously.
If these bloggers are offered free products to review, the advice has to be that you don't get something for nothing.
